Evanston Ecstatic Dance 2018-05-06

FLAC (599 MB)
WAV (1.1 GB)

1 hour 44 minutes

I played this set at the first Evanston Ecstatic Dance. It was a lot of fun to play for this audience where literally everyone was dancing. The first 25 minutes begin with ambient music while the audience was stretching, then gradually builds to more energetic dance music and comes back down.

To bring you the best quality audio, every track I play is lossless and my mixes are only available in the lossless FLAC and WAV formats. Just about any music player will work with WAV, but WAV takes up almost double the space (and download time) as FLAC. To play FLAC files:

  • Windows 10, GNU/Linux, and Android: just about any music player should work
  • macOS and older versions of Windows: I recommend Clementine
  • iOS: I recommend VLC Mobile

If you’re on a smartphone, you may want to download the mix when you have WiFi on.

Flow States 2016 DJ mix

WAV (813 MB)
FLAC (430 MB)
1 hour 20 minutes
To bring you the best quality audio, every track I play is lossless my mixes are only available in the lossless FLAC and WAV formats. Just about any music player will work with WAV, but WAV takes up almost double the space (and download time) as FLAC. Unfortunately, most music players do not support FLAC (unless you are running Windows 10, in which case most programs will work). To play FLAC files, I recommend the free Clementine music player because it works on Windows, Mac OS X, and GNU/Linux. On smartphones, Android natively supports FLAC with any music player program, but iOS requires special FLAC-compatible programs. If you’re on a smartphone, you may want to download the mix when you have WiFi on.

I performed shortly after sunset on September 17, 2016 at Flow States festival, a short journey outside Chicago. As this set was starting, a yoga class was concluding a short distance from the stage, so the teacher asked me to play calm music. It was fun starting the set with ambient and gradually bringing it up to high energy glitch.

Throughout the weekend, I was playing ambient music when no other musicians were performing and helping other musicians set up.

Track list:
Aes Dana – The Meeting Point
Pantha Du Prince & The Bell Laboratory – Particle
Solar Fields – Cocoon Moon (Glastonbury Festival 2005 Mix)
Benny Bettane – Black Rock City
Random Rab – Falling Tao
edIT – Screening Phone Calls
Erothyme – Treespeakers (with Madelion Moondrop)
Emancipator – Elephant Survival (remix of Elephant Revival – Forgiveness)

plantrae – Enter The Seed
